How do you get the search gadget to show a list of search providers it just opens internet explorer and lets you click them but just sets them in internet explorer

I have IE7 and WMP11.

I load the Alky!


When I load the Installer, I get:

Cannot locate: vADVPI32.dll?? I downloaded a free vAPVPI32.dll and the alert still pops up.

But, it seems the program will load all the way anyway!


When I load the Gadgets, I get:

"Destination Component" not located??


Any advice?

yeah theres a problem with my sidebar too. i cant get the weather to seem to work for some reason. and thats like one of the most important reasons i have the sidebar. why does this happen anyways??

Its an AMAZING sidebar .... I LOVE it and I thank God that it got installed perfectly , thank God :) .... Definitely , a :+fav: is required !

I've followed the instructions to the letter. Just to recap, I've uninstalled the old VAIO, installed Alky and rebooted. I'm using the self installing sidebar by isso. Followed the instructions with Alky.

Patched - sbdrop.dll, wlsrvc.dll, sidebar.exe

Run - “C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Sidebar.exe” /RegServer

Copied - regsvr32.exe from system 32 folder in to sidebar folder

Copied - manifest.xml from alky into sidebar folder and renamed it regsvr32.exe.manifest

And I get stuck with -

cd “%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\”
.\regsvr32.exe sbdrop.dll
.\regsvr32.exe wlsrvc.dll

That's when I get -

DllRegisterServer in sbdrop.dll failed. Return code was: 0x80040154

Sidebar stopped working yesterday when I exited sidebar from the start menu and hasn't started since. I ran some reg cleaners which might have caused the problems, but a clean install doesn't seem to be working.

Hi I cant get Sidebar to work. I had it working before using VAIO but stopped working yesterday. I tried uninstalling VAIO and Sidebar and reinstalled Alky for Applications and the latest version of Sidebar 6.0.6000.16386. But when I try to patch it I'm having problems. When I try the command:

“C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Sidebar.exe” /RegServer

I get this error message for Run:

Windows cannot find "C:\Program'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

And when I try it in Command Prompt I get this:

The file name, directory name, or volume syntax is incorrect.

What am I doing wrong?
